VECO Cotton Face Mask Meets WHO Basic Guidelines

When it comes to wearing a mask, including cloth ones, it is recommended that the mask be made of at least three layers of breathable fabric. This is to ensure adequate protection from droplets and the virus, in general.

As we’ve mentioned, our VECO face masks are designed with 3-ply, antimicrobial cotton material. This helps stop droplets from spreading when someone speaks, coughs, or sneezes.

Moreover, both cloth and surgical masks are effective in reducing the transmission of COVID-19—according to the Department of Health and Human Services Victoria.

Do children need to wear a face covering, e.g. cloth mask? At the time of writing, Victorian regulations state that anyone over the age of 12 must wear a face covering while in public. It is recommended for children younger than 12 but older than 2. Face masks should not be placed on a child under 2 years old as they present a choking/strangulation risk.
