Description
The 74HC193 IC is a Modulo-16 Synchronous Binary Up/Down Counter. It employs separate clock inputs for counting up and down, ensuring synchronous operation in both modes. Output state changes align with LOW-to-HIGH transitions on the clock inputs.
This versatile counter offers separate Terminal Count Up and Terminal Count Down outputs, serving as clock signals for subsequent stages without the need for additional logic, streamlining multi-stage counter designs. Furthermore, individual preset inputs enable programmable counting. The Parallel Load (PL) and Master Reset (MR) inputs can asynchronously override the clock signals, providing additional control flexibility.
