Description
The IEC Voltage Reference is a modern electronic replacement for the old Weston Standard Cell. It contains 2 x 9V #216 transistor batteries, providing highly accurate 1.00V and 10.00V outputs for calibrating instruments like meters, multimeters, and oscilloscopes.
It also serves as a reference voltage for circuits and resistance bridge measurements. Unlike the Weston Cell, which supplies minimal current, this electronic version can deliver up to 5mA without losing accuracy.
