Description
The IEC Boyle's and Charles's Law Apparatus combines classic setups for both laws. It includes open and closed glass tubes joined by a rubber hose for use with mercury (not supplied). It is mounted on a 1m calibrated rail with adjustable components.
For Boyle's Law, the volume of air in the closed tube is measured while pressure is calculated from the mercury height difference, demonstrating P × V = k at constant temperature.
For Charles's Law, additional components allow the gas to be heated, maintaining constant volume by adjusting pressure. This setup explores the relationship between temperature, volume, and pressure.
