Note: Alkaline batteries (AAA) are recommended for use with the Edison Robot.
Note: Edison may encounter difficulty reading barcodes in environments with bright light, especially on glossy paper. If programming issues arise, consider relocating Edison away from direct, bright light. Alternatively, try printing barcodes on matte paper for improved readability. Home printers are especially effective for this purpose, as they lack the glossy finish found on high-end printers' ink.
WARNING - THE REMOTE CONTROL FOR EDISON CONTAINS A COIN CELL/BUTTON BATTERY. Lithium coin cell batteries pose a hazard and should be kept out of children's reach. Ingestion or insertion into any part of the body can lead to severe or fatal injuries within 2 hours. If there is suspicion that a battery has been swallowed or inserted, seek immediate medical attention.
The CR2025 battery for the remote is not included with international orders.

We've replaced our old Edison 'EdMat' Activity Mat with this new and updated product – now with an added SumoMat side, which can be used for sumo wrestling, bouncing in borders and line-tracking! The EdMat is an A1 size (59cm x 84cm) robot activity mat designed for the classroom and home. Featuring 6 barcodes which can be used to program your Edison Robot, as well as a large track designed for line following challenges or sumo wrestling. Printed on paper and laminated to protect the mat, the mats are shipped in a hard cardboard tube in order to keep them protected. The individual EdCreate pieces are designed with studs and holes which are compatible with Edison robots. One EdCreate kit can be used to create five different EdBuilds and a range of other engineering and design challenges. The kit can also be expanded using compatible LEGO® bricks.
