Description

The Hex Schmitt Trigger IC is an integrated circuit that features six independent Schmitt trigger circuits in a single package. It features Schmitt trigger action and standardized symmetrical output characteristics.

Schmitt triggers are specialized circuits that provide hysteresis, making them ideal for noise filtering and signal conditioning applications. This IC is common in digital electronics to ensure robust and reliable signal processing. This allows it to detect and amplify weak or noisy input signals. The Hex Schmitt Trigger IC offers a compact and efficient solution for maintaining signal integrity and reducing susceptibility to noise in electronic circuits.

Supplied in a plastic DIP 14 package.

Features

  • Schmitt trigger action with no external components
  • Hysteresis voltage typ. at 0.9V at VDD = 5V, 2.3V at VDD = 10V, and 3.5V at VDD = 15V
  • Noise immunity greater than 50%
  • No limit on input rise and fall times
  • Standardised, symmetrical output characteristics
  • 100% tested for quiescent current at 20sV
  • Maximum input current of 1µA at 18 V over full package temperature range; 100nA at 18V and 25°C
  • Low VDD to VSS current during slow input ramp
