Description

The 4021 is an 8 Bit Static Shift Register IC commonly used in digital electronics. It features an 8-bit shift register capable of storing and shifting data in a serial manner, fully static operation. Also 8 Master-slave flip-flops plus output buffering and control gating, and more.

This IC operates in a static mode, meaning it retains data without the need for a clock signal. Thus making it suitable for applications where data needs to be temporarily stored or shifted at a controlled pace. The 4021 has parallel data inputs (D0 to D7) and serial data output (QH̅) pins, enabling seamless integration into various digital systems.

This IC finds applications in serial data transmission, data manipulation, and other circuits that require efficient data shifting capabilities in an 8-bit format. Plastic DIP 16 package.
