Description
The 4066 is a Quad Bi-Lateral Switch IC, consisting of four analog bilateral switches.
Each has an active-high enable input (A) and two input/outputs (X and Y). When the enable input is set to high, a low impedance connects the X and Y terminals; this is the on condition. When the enable is low, a high impedance path exists between X and Y, and the switch is turned off.
The IC 4066 is pin compatible with the IC 4016. However it has a lower ON impedance and more constant ON resistance across the entire input voltage range.
