Description
This 3-axis Magnetic Field Sensor PASCO PS-3221 can sense and measure Earth's magnetic field. It can also measure the magnetic field of permanent magnets, as well as the field strength of Helmholtz coil and current-carrying wires. There are two ranges: ±50 gauss and ±1300 gauss that are user selectable. This sensor is specifically intended for static fields.
The Magnetic Field Sensor PASCO PS-3221 measures the three components of the magnetic field as well as the resultant or, if desired, measure the field along a single axis or any two of the axes depending on your experiment.
The sensor measures the X, Y, and Z components of the magnetic flux density in tesla, millitesla, and gauss. The arrangement of the X, Y, and Z components are shown on the top label.
