Description

Step Down Transformer 1000W - a quality completely enclosed step down transformer with fold-up metal carrying handles. This device also has an authorised 3-wire power cord & 3 pins 110 - 120V socket type US-style (which also accepts US-style two-pin plugs).

A WORD ON ISOLATION. THIS MEANS THAT:

The primary (240V) & secondary (120V) are totally electrically isolated (Dieletric isolation). This is the safest way of making a mains voltage conversion. This type of transformer is recommended whenever the application is medical or medically related. It is also recommended where the secondary equipment is to be operated in or near water or high moisture environments. 240V earth carried through to the 120V socket earth.
