Description
The 74HC253 comprises two identical 4-input multiplexer equipped with 3-state outputs. These multiplexers allow the selection of two bits from among four sources, as determined by common data select inputs (S0, S1).
When the individual output enable (1OE, 2OE) inputs for the 4-input multiplexers are set to a HIGH state, the outputs transition to a high impedance OFF-state. Essentially, the "253" functions as a logic-based 2-pole, 4-position switch, with the switch position determined by the logic levels applied to S0 and S1.
