Description
Similar to a bar magnet, the U-Shaped Magnet features markings that indicate north and south, except the magnet is bent so the poles are in the same line. Magnetic lines of force travel from pole to pole much like a bar magnet. However, the magnetic field is concentrated between the poles since the poles are located closer together and has a more direct path for the lines of flux to travel between the poles.
This U-shaped magnet with north and south markings is ideal for small science experiments involving magnetic fields. When squared it measures 30mm X 30mm.
