Description
The GY-530 Laser Rangefinding Sensor Module has the VL53L0X sensor onboard, with power management IC onboard. This module can accept power range from 2.8V to 5V.
The VL53L0X is a Time-of-Flight (ToF) laser-ranging module that provides accurate distance measurement regardless of target reflectances. It can measure absolute distances of up to 2m, setting a new benchmark in performance levels and allowing for a wide range of new applications.
The VL53L0X integrates a leading-edge SPAD array (Single Photon Avalanche Diodes) and embeds ST’s second-generation FlightSenseTM patented technology.
The VL53L0X's 940nm VCSEL (Vertical-Cavity Surface-Emitting Laser) emitter is completely invisible to the human eye, and when combined with internal physical infrared filters, it enables longer ranging distances, greater immunity to ambient light, and improved robustness to cover-glass optical cross-talk.
