Description
The Kitronik Breadboard Breakout for the BBC Micro:bit allows the user to connect a BBC microbit to a standard 2.54mm pitch breadboard. To connect to the breadboard, two 11-way pin headers are used.
You can insert the micro:bit into the edge connector on the top side of the PCB, with no additional tools. You should inset the front of the BBC micro:bit (the side with the LEDs) facing the same side as the 3V pin.
Since the edge connector only has connections on one side, inserting the BBC micro:bit in reverse orientation will not work.
The PCB plugs across the middle slot of a breadboard, the same placement as an IC component.
Requires:
- BBC micro:bit
- Suitable Breadboard
- M/F Jumper Wires
Features
- No tools or soldering are required for installation
- This breakout board plugs straight across the middle slot of a standard 2.54mm pitch breadboard, just like an IC component
- The microbits pins are broken out into 2 x 11-way header pins
- Use jumper wires to connect from the header pins to the breadboard
- The microbit slots into the on-board edge connector
- Microbit to breadboard prototyping made easy
