Alloy POE3000SC Multimode (SC) Converter

The Alloy POE3000SC PoE+ media converter is an independent converter that provides power to PD devices and enables the integration of POE devices into networks situated at distant locations where direct copper connections are not feasible due to distance limitations. It is compatible with two types of media, namely 10/100/1000Base-TX and 1000Base-SX/LX, or an SFP module slot.

The Alloy POE3000SC PoE+ media converter comes equipped with LFP (Link Fault Propagation) support. Thus enabling network administrators to diagnose link faults on their networks with ease. In the event of a Copper or Fibre link failure, the converter forces the link status of the connected device to fail as well. The LFP feature supports two methods, including FEF (Far End Fault) and Forced Mode.

POE3000 Series media converters are specifically designed for applications where Ethernet devices require a power supply through the network connection, rather than a power cord. Common examples of devices that use this method of powering include VoIP Phones, Wireless Access Points, and IP-based Cameras. These media converters comply with the IEEE 802.3at standard.

These converters provide support for all relevant 802.3at standards and offer signature sensing and power monitoring features that comply with the IEEE 802.3at standard. They also support critical functions such as PD discovery, classification, and current limiting. Additionally, these converters prioritize safety and feature high levels of protection, including short circuit protection and power-out auto-detection to the PD.
