Description
The Alloy POE3000ST 10/100/1000Base-T PoE+ RJ-45 to 1000Base-SX Multimode (ST) Converter is a versatile media converter. It provides power to PD devices and integrates POE devices into networks. This standalone media converter allows users to add POE devices to their networks at remote locations where direct copper connections are not feasible due to distance limitations.
The Alloy POE3000ST supports two types of media - 10/100/1000Base-TX and 1000Base-SX multimode (ST). It features LFP (Link Fault Propagation) support, enabling easy diagnosis of link faults on the network. The LFP feature provides two methods of support, including FEF (Far End Fault) and Forced Mode, and forces the link status of the connecting device to fail if the copper or fiber link fails.
The POE3000ST media converter is fully compliant with the IEEE 802.3at standard and supports features such as PD discovery, classification, current limiting, and signature sense. It also provides high levels of safety support, featuring short circuit protection and power-out auto-detection to the PD.
