Description
The Alloy POE3000SFP 10/100/1000Base-T PoE+ RJ-45 to SFP Converter is a standalone media converter. It enables power sourcing for PD devices and the integration of POE devices into networks. This media converter can add POE devices to networks at remote locations where direct copper connections are not possible due to distance limitations.
The Alloy POE3000SFP supports 10/100/1000Base-TX media and includes an SFP slot, which allows for the use of a range of SFP modules to support various types of media, including single-mode and multi-mode fiber. This flexibility makes the POE3000SFP converter an excellent solution for adapting to diverse network environments.
This media converter provides Link Fault Propagation (LFP) support, allowing network administrators to quickly diagnose link faults. In case of Copper or Fibre link failures, the converter triggers the link status of the connecting device to fail as well. The LFP feature offers two supported methods, including Far End Fault (FEF) and Forced Mode, providing greater flexibility and efficient network troubleshooting.
Compliant with the IEEE 802.3at standard and supports all relevant 802.3at standards, including PD discovery, classification, current limiting, and signature sense. Additionally, this converter prioritizes safety and offers high levels of protection, including short circuit protection and power-out auto-detection to the PD.
