IEC Hodson Electric Motor Kit - 2 Pack

The Hodson Motor Kit contains all the parts needed to assemble one motor. Supplied as a pack of 2 kits in strong transparent jars. It allows the student to wind their own electric motor and to make the brushes required to run it. Easy to assemble, with brushes and armatures easily made by forming the supplied wire. The motor is durable once assembled, enabling storage and handling as a working unit, or it can be disassembled and reused.

Knowledge comes from the exercise of winding the motor and predicting results. Students can even take home a motor. The motor can run as either a DC motor from a battery or as a synchronous AC motor from an AC power source. The Hodson Motor kit provides everything required, except for the ‘D’ cell battery, but there is room for a battery to be stored in each kit.
