Description
The PASCO PASPort Infrared Light Sensor PS-2148 is designed to measure the intensity of infrared radiation over a broad spectrum. This enables the students to study black body radiation and other experiments. This sensor is sensitive in the infrared portion. It uses a Nitrogen-filled Thermopile with a Thallium Bromide-Iodide (KRS-5) window to sense wavelengths from 580 to 40,000 nm so the radiation can be detected from a person's hand. The response is linear over its entire frequency range.
NOTE: The PASCO PASPort sensors require one of the PASPort interfaces in order to use them.
