Description
The IEC Spark Generator is designed for Linear Air Tracks to enable measurement via "Spark Recording" rather than Photo Gates. A metal electrode on each glider creates sparks that jump from a metal track to a paper tape, marking dots at adjustable intervals from 2.5 to 50 sparks per second. High-voltage cables connect the generator to the spark tracks. The dot spacing on the tape allows for velocity and acceleration calculations.
