Description
The 'Wheel & Axle' consists of two strong 5-ply timber pulleys (150mm and 75mm diameters), sealed against moisture. Fixed together as a 'dual-diameter' pulley, it rotates freely on a 10mm rod with a central bearing. By winding cords around each pulley and using weights, the mechanics of 'double pulleys' and ratios can be explored.
