Description
The Adafruit CC3000 WiFi Shield with Onboard Ceramic Antenna offers an excellent balance of usability, affordability, and functionality. It uses SPI communication for flexible data transfer speeds and includes an IRQ pin for asynchronous connections. It supports 802.11b/g, open/WEP/WPA/WPA2 security, TKIP, and AES and features a built-in TCP/IP stack with a "BSD socket" interface. The shield supports TCP and UDP in client and server modes with up to 4 concurrent sockets. Note: It connects to access points but does not support "AP" mode.
