PS-2600 PASCO Wireless Spectrometer - Kinetics

Learn how to use the PASCO Wireless Spectrometer and Spectrometry software to analyze the kinetics of the reaction of sodium hydroxide and crystal violet.

To do this we:

• Calibrate dark reference
• Calibrate a light reference
• Place a sample of crystal violet in the spectrometer.
• Pick an analysis wavelength

The experiment is completed on the time page of the Spectronometry software. Add sodium hydroxide to a sample of crystal violet and place in the spectrometer, and run the experiment. Remember to keep a control sample for comparison.
